Microneedling + PRP + Minoxidil
Pharmacology
Microneedling creates controlled microchannels in the skin and activates physiological repair processes. PRP contains autologous platelets and growth factors that may support regenerative activity. For scalp and hairline treatments, an individually pharmacy-compounded minoxidil formulation can be integrated to support the hair follicle environment.
The Science
Microneedling is based on controlled wound-healing stimulation. Micro-injuries activate fibroblast activity, collagen formation and dermal remodeling. PRP complements this process through growth factors derived from the patient’s own blood. In scalp treatments, microneedling, PRP and minoxidil can be combined as part of a regenerative hair-support concept.
Multi-Ethnic Approach
Skin reacts differently depending on skin type, pigmentation and barrier function. In darker skin types, irritation control and prevention of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation are especially important. At VEJIN, needle depth, treatment intensity, active substances and aftercare are adapted to the individual skin type and treatment goal.
Effect
Microneedling can improve skin texture, pore appearance, fine lines, superficial scars and overall skin quality. Combined with PRP, the focus is on regenerative skin improvement. For scalp and hairline treatments, the combination with PRP and pharmacy-compounded minoxidil may support hair quality and scalp stimulation.
Possible Side Effects
Typical reactions include redness, burning, swelling, tightness, dryness, pinpoint bleeding or mild crusting. Less common risks include infection, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, irritant dermatitis or intolerance to applied substances. Minoxidil may cause local irritation, itching, dryness or redness.
Material Used
Sterile microneedling needle cartridges, PRP preparation material, autologous blood, sterile application materials and, when indicated, individually pharmacy-compounded minoxidil are used. The aftercare is selected according to skin type and treatment intensity.
Techniques
Different needle depths and passes are used depending on treatment area and goal. Face, scars, scalp and hairline are treated with different parameters. PRP may be applied topically, intradermally or in combination. Minoxidil is only used within a controlled and low-irritation treatment concept.
