Pharmacology
Botox treatments at VEJIN are based on the controlled use of botulinum toxin type A. The active substance temporarily reduces the release of acetylcholine at the neuromuscular junction, which decreases the activity of selected muscles. This effect is reversible and allows precise modulation of facial expression, muscle tension and functional overactivity.
The Science
Expression lines develop through repeated muscle contraction and mechanical folding of the skin. By selectively reducing the activity of specific muscles, the overlying skin can appear smoother while natural facial movement is preserved. The treatment plan is based on anatomy, muscle strength, facial dynamics, asymmetries and the desired aesthetic result.
Multi-Ethnic Approach
Faces do not age in one universal way. Skin thickness, facial structure, muscle activity, eyebrow position and aesthetic ideals differ between individuals and ethnic backgrounds. At VEJIN, Botox is not applied according to a rigid standard scheme, but adapted to the individual face, expression pattern and aesthetic identity.
Effect
Botox can soften forehead lines, frown lines, crow’s feet and other expression-related wrinkles. It can also be used for chemical brow lift, mentalis treatment, masseter treatment, platysma and excessive underarm sweating. The goal is a calmer, fresher and more balanced appearance without creating a frozen look.
Possible Side Effects
Possible side effects include temporary redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness, headache or mild asymmetry. Depending on the treated area, unwanted muscle effects may occur, such as a heavy brow feeling, temporary eyelid or brow changes or unintended changes in facial expression. These effects are usually temporary and depend on dose, injection technique and individual anatomy.
Material Used
Approved botulinum toxin preparations, sterile single-use syringes, fine injection needles, skin antisepsis and documented dose planning are used. The choice of product, dose and injection points depends on the treatment area and individual indication.
Techniques
Botox can be injected intramuscularly or superficially intradermally, depending on the indication. The technique is adapted to muscle anatomy, facial movement, fold depth, asymmetries and the desired degree of mobility.
